Rolando Rodríguez
Cuban historian and researcher. Graduated in Law. He studied Philosophy and was founding professor of the Philosophy Department of the University of Havana. He later became its director. In addition to teaching and directing the Department, he was appointed director of Ediciones Revolucionarias. In 1967, he founded and presided over the Cuban Book Institute and in 1976 he was appointed vice-minister of Culture and president of the Editorial Council of that ministry. In 1981, he moved to the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers as head of the social affairs area and was later appointed its coordinator. He is currently advisor for special affairs of the same entity.
