Victor Joaquín Ortega

Cuban narrator, journalist and poet. Order of Sports Merit. War correspondent in Vietnam. Distinction for National Culture. In total he has written 16 books within which stand out: El látigo del jab sobre los rostros, Crónica por una Crise, El rusito and Kid Chocolate: boxing is me, four hands away with Elio Menéndez, the best Cuban sports journalist during the revolutionary period and one of the best of all time. More than 120 awards and mentions in Cuban competitions and about 25 decorations, including the Order of Sports Merit and the Distinction for National Culture. In 2011 he won the National Prize for Sports Journalism for the work of life and the National Prize for Journalism for the work of life, in the City of Havana. Awarded in the March 13 Contest
