Maricela Perera Pérez

Graduated in Psychology, University of Havana, 1983. PhD in Psychological Sciences, University of Havana, 2006. From 1984 to 2008, she worked as a researcher at the Center for Psychological and Sociological Research (ClPS), on subjects related to subjectivity and daily life; especially, perceptions and social representations. On this theory she defended her doctoral thesis in 2006. She has directed research projects on prosociality among children, social perceptions in various groups of the Cuban social structure, crisis and daily life, among others. Since 2009, she has been working as a social researcher at the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC). She is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Havana. She has participated as a speaker in numerous national and international events. She is the author and co-author of several research reports, articles, and textbooks for university teaching.
