Rodrigo Espina Prieto

Cuban researcher. Graduate in Philology and Master in Anthropology. Scholar of issues of inequality, racism, and manifestations and expressions of popular culture in the country, on which he published numerous articles and compiled important books that have constituted essential bibliography for their approach. He worked in several institutions such as the Cuban Academy of Sciences, the Cuban Institute of Anthropology, the Center for Youth Studies and the Juan Marinello Cuban Institute of Cultural Research (ICIC), where he also served until his death as deputy director of Research. He was an advisor to the National Program against racism and racial discrimination. He died on March 8, 2023.
