Ana Cairo Ballester

Cuban essayist, researcher, historian, university professor and philologist. She holds a doctorate in Philological Sciences (1985) and is a professor and consultant at the University of Havana. She is a member of the Academy of History, the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba and the Cuban section of the Association of Historians of Latin America and the Caribbean. She taught Cuban Literature and Culture and monographic courses on personalities at the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the University of Havana. In 2015 she won the National Prize for Social and Humanistic Sciences.
