Zoila Lapique Becali

Esteemed Cuban musicographer. She has devoted her entire life to musical and historical research. She graduated in 1955 from the School of Librarians of the Economic Society of Friends of the Country, then attached to the Library of Congress in Washington, and in 1967 from the School of Librarians and Documentalists of the University of Havana. In 1969 she graduated with a degree in History from the University of Havana. She has worked at the José Martí National Library of Cuba for more than 40 years, beginning on October 14, 1959.
